Who is this for?
People who use professional creative software (Photoshop, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, Ableton, Unity, etc.) and are frustrated by simplified POD interfaces. If you're comfortable with layers, color spaces, and precise controls, you'll feel at home here.
What if I use my own graphics software?
Two workflows: (1) Upload graphics to use as image with our design tools (text, QR codes, layout system), or (2) Upload a 4350 x 4950 pixel image that fills the entire printable area. Either way, you see accurate fabric previews via InkPreview.
How does per-fabric color adjustment work?
Initially the color of each design element (some images, text, border, QR) is the same for all fabric colors. You can then choose per element, per fabric color to set a differenct color. See results instantly via InkPreview. This lets you optimize your design for light fabrics, dark fabrics, and everything in between. For manufacturing different print files are generated for different fabric colors.
How many fabric colors are available?
69 fabric colors. You can select which ones appear in your gallery and adjust your design's colors specifically for each fabric you choose. Use fabric selector at the right of the screen to quickly swith between fabric colors, no matter what design aspect you're working on.
What's InkPreview?
A filter that simulates how your colors actually print on fabric. Direct-to-fabric printing doesn't just overlay your design—the ink interacts with the fabric. InkPreview shows you the real printed result, not just a digital mockup.
What's in the image library?
Over 1000 custom-created images at 2048x2048 resolution. Many have transparent backgrounds designed to blend with fabric colors. Most are free, some premium (small fee per use). Use them as complete designs or as elements in your compositions. We also have monochrome images that can be colorized to any color.
How does the layout system work?
Set constraints (aspect ratios, max sizes, margins) and the system maintains them as you work. Change one element's size and other elements adjust to stay within print zones. Like defining rules in code—you set the parameters, the system enforces them.
How does the QR code feature work?
Enter any URL and it generates a QR code as a design element. It's fully integrated and scales with the amount of data it contains. Colors adjustable colors per fabric, instant preview. Test it with your phone before publishing.
What's the markup split?
You keep 80% of whatever markup you set. Example: Base price for an XL is $18. You add $10 markup = $28 total. You earn $8 per shirt, we keep $2.
How is printing and shipping handled?
Orders go to Printify for direct-to-garment printing and worldwide shipping. Premium fabrics, sizes S through 3XL. We handle customer service and returns. Orders for Europe ship from the UK, US and worldwide orders ship from the US. Some fabric colors can only be shipped from the US.
Can I change designs after publishing?
Yes, until the first sale. Once someone buys a design, it locks to ensure consistency. You can still copy the design to create variations as new designs. The design does not lock if you order a shirt for yourself.
How many designs and galleries can I create?
Depends on subscription: Almost Free (25 designs, 2 preview galleries), Basic (50 designs, 6 live galleries), Plus (200 designs, 24 galleries), Pro (800 designs, 100 galleries).
How do I customize my gallery?
Choose which designs to offer, set markup, pick from 12 color schemes (light and dark modes), use your own custom URL. Gallery updates automatically when you edit designs.
How do I get paid?
Request payout when your balance reaches $100, or apply your balance to purchases on Super Cool Gear.
What about limited editions?
Set price and edition size, and the system handles: numbering on listing and shirt, tracking, and sold-out messaging automatically. Nothing to manage manually.
